The infallible trap to eliminate them
The first trap is based on the use of apple cider vinegar .
Flies, in fact, cannot resist the aroma created by fermentation. The product used is actually made from fermented apples , which is why flies cannot keep their distance from the vinegar. For greater effectiveness, you can heat the apple cider vinegar. This is because the heat allows the vinegar smell to emanate. You will need a jar and a piece of paper rolled into a funnel, 12 cl of apple cider vinegar , at most a few drops of dish detergent and you can choose whether or not to add a piece of ripe fruit. After heating the apple cider vinegar, you can put it in the jar, adding the drops of detergent. The latter will reduce the surface tension of the vinegar. Then, insert the funnel into the jar, with a hole in the bottom to let the flies in. Once inside, they will not be able to get out and will drown. If they don’t drown, you can put the jar in the freezer for 20 minutes. The fruit trap instead is made with these ingredients: cling film, a jar, ripe fruit, a toothpick, and soapy water . Place the fruit pieces in the jar and close it with the cling film, pierced with the toothpick. Place it in strategic points of the house, so that the flies will enter through the holes without being able to get out . Finally, you will have to immerse the jar filled with flies in a container of hot water and soap for 10 minutes.
Two other very effective methods
Red wine is another ingredient that attracts flies. All you need is a little bit of water left in the wine bottle to catch the flies. This will prove to be a deadly trap for them , as they will begin to drown in the remaining wine.
Alternatively, you can place the wine in a container and then cover the jar with perforated plastic wrap. The last trap is an old one used by grandmothers. You will need 50 cl of milk, 100 grams of brown sugar, and 50 grams of ground black pepper. Pour the pepper, milk, and sugar into a saucepan and let it cook slowly for 10 minutes. Then, pour the mixture into empty plates and place them throughout the house. Attracted by the mixture, the flies will be trapped and drown in the solution. To make it even more effective, you can add a drop or two of dish soap to prevent the flies from crawling out of the surface.
